Loved By God.
Serving Stenhouse

Stenhouse Baptist Church has been at the heart of the local community since 1932. We are here to share the story of God’s love in our world and our lives.

In 2014 we swapped buildings to sit right above Tesco and Greggs.

Then in 2016 we relaunched the vision of being a church who serves the local community with a new team led by Thomas and Claudia Dean. 8 years in and we are passionate as ever about sharing the Good News of Jesus with whoever will listen, and our church community being a place of refuge and hope.

There’s nothing particularly unique about us as a church. Just another bunch of people trying to serve God as we respond to His grace in our lives.

We are affiliated with lots of other lovely churches through the Baptist Union of Scotland.

What’s God got to do with it?

Life isn’t easy. We can sometimes walk through life scarred from the past, nervous about the future, and depending on our own best efforts to make everything work.

For us at SBC, its difficult to put into just a paragraph all that Jesus means to us and all that he has done for us… but we believe that God’s love changes lives, God’s forgiveness transforms us and God’s power can fill us so that we can live this ‘life to the full’ that Jesus spoke about.

We believe that Jesus is alive, knows us each by name and wants to get to know us again, as strange as that may sound to some people.

Our past doesn’t define our future. And nothing we’ve done or said can stop God from loving us. ‘This is how we know what love is’ – That Jesus loves us so much he laid down his life for us.

Giving

Giving is a really practical way of supporting the work of SBC.

There are two ways you can give:

  1. There is a giving box at the back of the church that you can safely deposit cash in.

  2. You can also set up a bank transfer or monthly direct debit using the following bank details:

Account number: 65854615

Sort code: 089299

SBC is dependent on the giving of its community. We so appreciate it. Thank you.
